Two Dozen Biddies

Yesterday was chicken killing day.

We started at 11AM. We finished at 7PM. I say “we” – Kate helped for about half the time, but also had to tend Saylor and then go help at the church for a while. She performed splendidly, however, processing about 10 of the 24 birds.

It was a messy business, and it took much, much longer than I thought it would. And who knew killing chickens could be so tiring?

But it’s done, and the birds are in a better place (the freezer).

  1. What’s the process like?

Your thoughts here. As long as they're not vulgar. Or spam.
